矯齒科
什麼是矯齒科?
治療牙齒不齊、面部和牙齒比例不平衡而明顯地嚴重影響面部和諧的問題。
矯齒是涉及咬合不正（即牙齒不正確排列）和顏面畸形（面部和牙齒比例不平衡從而嚴重影響面部和諧及患者的生活質素）的專科。矯齒與其他專業（如兒科牙科、牙髓病學、口腔和牙髓病學）之間存在互補作用。

患者的主要治療項目
生長調節
生長調節是通過生長矯正器改變頜骨的位置、形狀、長度或寬度。通過生長調節，可以逐漸將患者的頜骨移動到適合患者牙齒的位置，並最大限度地減少牙齒更換的需要。對於骨骼仍處於生長過程的兒童最有效。
